Fairytale Maternity Photoshoot

This was a shoot very close to my heart! My best friend (and one of my favourite models!) Elle was expecting a lovely little girl, and I couldn’t wait to collaborate on a maternity photoshoot to capture this special moment with her first child.

I’ve worked with Elle a lot over the years, and we love the same style of imagery. So for her maternity photography session, we wanted to create something dark and mysterious but still bright and airy. We chose a pink and feminine theme to celebrate her little one, using a mix of her existing wardrobe with some beautiful maternity gowns to achieve the look we envisioned.

For the pregnancy photoshoot location, we picked somewhere local to Elle in Staffordshire. Being heavily pregnant, I didn’t want her to walk too far or tire herself out before we even started, so we chose these stunning gardens nearby, perfect for a natural maternity photoshoot.

I absolutely loved the stone arches, the stately home, and the water feature in front of it. It was a lovely sunny day, so we were lucky with the bright natural light and stark shadows—ideal for capturing timeless maternity portraits that felt both elegant and enchanting.
